Land Acknowledgment

In the spirit of reconciliation, we honour the truth of our shared history as people of Treaty 7 territory and acknowledge the traditional lands of the Blackfoot Confederacy, that includes the Kainai, Siksika, and Piikani First Nations. We acknowledge the traditional lands of the Tsuut’ina First Nation, and the Îyâxe Nakoda, including the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Wesley First Nations. We acknowledge that this territory in home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3 within the historical Northwest Métis homeland. We also acknowledge all Nations – Indigenous and non – who make their homes on this land. We commit to engage in the teachings of truth and actions of reconciliation in Mohk’insstsis, also known as Calgary.
